Purchased at auction as a weanling by Derick Tipton, Fury has gone on to fulfill many dreams. Derick has been quoted, "Fury is the strongest gaited horse I have ever ridden. After you step up out of a walk you do nothing but gait until he runs."
Judy met him as a 3 year old, under saddle for only 90 days. She was fascinated by how smooth his gait was when he would "fly" with Derick. Michael had already chosen him as one of the stallions he wanted to breed to.
The first time Judy rode him she got the "Fury Grin" and she still gets that look when she works with him. Whether handling Fury in-hand or under saddle, Judy knows he will always be a gentleman. A breeding stallion handled by an amateur....that isn't something you see everyday.
In his first show season, Fury gained a reputation as a consistent, flashy 3 yr. old classic stallion competitor, whether shown by an amateur or a professional. His talents were recognized on the UMH show circuit, at the UMH World Show, and at the RMHA International Show.

Fury spent some time with HT Derickson as a 4 yr. old. HT soon commented that "Fury is one of the smartest horses I have ever ridden" and we all know that HT has ridden a few. Fury became a versatile performer in conformation, trail classes, western classes, trail obstacle, pleasure driving, and equitation competitions.
Bred since the age of 3, Fury's foals have proven him to be a consistent producer of classic mountain horse characteristics: conformation, beauty, gait, and temperament. Chris Tipton has handled Fury since 2006. Chris calls him "my horse" and enjoys Fury's easy temperament and willing manner. They have been to the winner's circle many times.
